Product Management the team sport!

I love it too.

As a Texan, I grew up in the football world. As a Product Manager it’s only natural to put the worlds together. It works for me.

A very good friend of mine once told me when she was a VP at Seagate, “Val we need to teach Product Managers how to lose”. You bring out some great lessons in this blog. No one would fire the losing team in the World Series. If you make it to the series, you’re a winner. How does the Product Manager keep the job, when the product fails? I suspect it’s all about how they played the game.

No one person can know how to execute all the plays that must be completed for good Product Management. Today there’re specialists. The Product Manager needs to enable the play, just like the rest of the team.
